Tax information and important documents for your Agentiq investments.

What are my tax obligations?

Distributions from Agentiq investments are generally taxable income:

Important Disclaimer:

Agentiq does not provide tax advice. We cannot represent that any investment will result in particular tax consequences. Please consult with a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.

General Information:

  • Distributions are typically treated as ordinary income

  • You’re responsible for reporting investment income on your tax return

  • Tax treatment may vary based on your individual circumstances

What You Should Do:

  • Keep records of all investments and distributions

  • Consult with a tax advisor familiar with alternative investments

  • Review any tax documents we provide each year

Will I receive a 1099?

Yes. If you receive distributions during the tax year, you will receive appropriate tax documentation:

1099-DIV:

  • Reports dividend distributions from your investments

  • Sent annually by January 31st for the prior tax year

1099-B (If Secondary Trading/ATS Market Develops Launches, which is not guaranteed):

  • Reports proceeds from the sale of securities

  • Shows cost basis and gain/loss information

Threshold:

  • Tax forms are issued when distributions exceed IRS reporting thresholds

  • Even if below thresholds, you may still need to report income

Where can I find my tax documents?

In the App:

  1. Go to Account → Documents

  2. Select “Tax Documents”

  3. View or download your 1099 forms

Timing:

  • Tax documents are available by January 31st each year

  • You’ll receive an email notification when documents are ready

Historical Documents:

  • Past years’ tax documents remain available in your account

  • Download for your records at any time

What is the cost basis for my investments?

Cost Basis Defined:

Your cost basis is the amount you paid for your shares, used to calculate gains or losses when you sell.

How It’s Determined:

  • Cost basis = Purchase price + fees

  • This is tracked automatically in your account

When It Matters:

  • If Secondary Trading/ATS Market Develops Launches, which is not guaranteed

  • Cost basis determines your taxable gain or loss

Documentation:

  • Your purchase history shows cost basis for each position

  • 1099-B forms (when issued) will include cost basis information
